Arctic Ecosystems Under Threat

For the fourth consecutive summer, the area covered by Arctic sea ice has shrunk, raising concerns that the effects of climate change are threatening the vast and unique Arctic wilderness. Climate experts predict that if current warming rates continue unchecked, Arctic sea ice may melt entirely in summer by 2060. Scientists hoping to better understand the effects of climate change on wildlife in the region, now race to gather as much information as possible.
