The Endangered Species Act has saved over 99% of the species that it protects from extinction. Unfortunately, proposed revisions to the Endangered Species Act are set to significantly weaken its power and narrow its breadth of protection.

The proposed changes transfer much of the cost of endangered species protection to the public and eliminates conservation provisions for tens-of-millions of acres of land, land that forms critical habitat for threatened wildlife.
