On the Lookout for New Species in Tenessee's Caves
Tennesse is home to a vast network of over 8000 caves. These caves contain unique organisms that have adapted to the dark, nutrient poor environment of the underground world. Biologist Jerry Lewis is working alongside The Nature Conservancy to save these unique ecosystems from human impacts such as contamination from sewage run-off and littering.
