Grim Outlook for Populations of Wading Birds

The outlook for populations of wading birds is cause for concern, as scientists estimate that half of all wading bird species are in decline. A mere 16 percent of waders are maintaining their populations at a steady level. Scientists report that over 100 species are at ris and of those, 23 are considered globally threatened.
