The amazing jumping spider

It's that time of year when creatures of all types start to visit my garden in abundance and it's not surprising that a few of the smaller animals eventually find their way inside the house. That was the case for this jumping spider, who I found crouching on a window blind in my bedroom. I've always found jumping spiders to be amazing, charming creatures. They have superb eyesight, thought to equal that of humans. They are even thought to be able to see colors. Jumping spiders are active hunters and pursue prey in a similar fashion to cats, stalking prey from a distance before approaching stealthily before pouncing. Jumping spiders have large eyes and a chunky, fuzzy body. They are very active hunters. Their excellent eyesight is used for stalking prey. Before pouncing on the victim, jumping spiders attach a line of silk from which they can dangle if they fall.
