Know Your Animal Groups
The Know Your Animal Groups newsletter explores facts about the six basic groups of animals—amphibians, birds, fishes, invertebrates, mammals and reptiles. In a series of seven email lessons, you'll learn about the natural history, evolution and adaptations of these animal groups. You'll gain a better understanding of the traits and habits that makes each group unique.

If you're just starting to learn about animals and wildlife, it would be an overwhelming task to try and memorize species, one by one. Instead, an understanding of the main groups of animals provides a good foundation for further learning and introduces you to the basic characteristics of virtually every animal on the planet.
