Dragonflies and Damselflies

Dragonflies and damselflies, members of the order Odonata, are some of the most ferocious predators of the insect world. They are also among the most primitive of the flying insects. They spend their childhood in the water being predaceous, and their adulthood in the air being predaceous. They are valuable consumers of large quantities of flies and other pests.
