Gene Tweak Halts Mad Cow Disease
Recent research suggests that protein clumps, once thought to be the cause of mad cow disease, may in facct be only a symptom of it. Consequently, research continues to pinpoint the true cause of the diseease.
Blood Transfusion Linked to Mad Cow Disease Death
The British Department of Health and the National Blood Service has contacted patients who received blood from donors who died of vCJD in response to growing concerns that the human varient of the diesase may be passed on via blood transfusions.
