Northern Saw Whet Owl

The northern saw whet owl is a species of owl that inhabits forests throughout Southern Canada and the United States. Saw whet owls are small, shy owls that are closely related to the Boreal owl. They hunt almost exclusively at night, feeding on a variety of small mammals such as mice, shrews and voles.
