The tufted titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor
) belongs to the Paridae family, a group of small, woodland dwelling perching birds
that includes tits, chickadees and titmice. Tufted titmice are frequent visitors to bird feeders. They are known for hoarding food during the fall and winter months and often build up a large stash of seeds within a few yards of the feeders they visit.
