The Maui Ocean Center's aim is to ecourage people to better understand, appreciate, and respect Hawaii's marine life. This state-of-the-art aquarium was opened in March 1998 and now includes a dazzling collection of Hawai'i's unique fish, sea turtles, sharks, and invertebrates.
I visited the aquarium in June 2005 and, with camera in hand, took their audio tour (which I recommend). This photo album is a collection of the many creatures and sights that caught my eye that day.
